Stratos Pizza Poutine Foundation

Stratos is proud to provide clothing for underprivileged children during the winter. Those who know Mr. Stratos, nicknamed “The Colonel,” are aware of his great compassion. It is largely because of this compassion that the Stratos Foundation was born. On a bitterly cold day, Mr. Stratos was heading to one of his locations when he saw two children lying on a snowbank, looking unwell. Curious as always, he stopped to ask if they needed help.

While speaking with them, he learned that the children had not eaten for several days. Moved by this discovery, he brought them into his Stratos dining room to give them something to eat. From that moment, he became acutely aware of the vulnerability of children in today’s world. The following Christmas, he continued his efforts to help underprivileged children by opening one of his restaurants, which is usually closed on that day, to provide free meals to over 150 families, totaling 495 people.

Following these two events, he decided to establish the Stratos Foundation, with the goal of ensuring that children are warmly dressed for the winter. Clothing distribution is done in collaboration with elementary schools, which must submit a request to the Stratos Foundation. If the request is approved or if the budget allows, the child will visit L’Aubainerie in Trois-Rivières with a school representative to receive a warm winter outfit.
